    Basically I want my mine cart track to go through a set of double doors into my house, with detector rails on each side that open the doors upon my approach.

    But you can't place rail tiles on a block with a door already on it.

    • This makes this idea very challenging to create. Is there any way around this? Is there a similar mechanism I can create that does the same thing without any rail-blocking doors, somehow?

    If not, I can just get rid of the doors and keep that doorway open, but then my house is under threat of mobs and such.

    Is there a reliable security system I can build that will keep them out of my house but still allow me entry on a railway?

    Any suggestions you can provide will be appreciated.

    maybe just dont bother with putting a rail under the door and hope you have enough speed to carry you past the gap

    It's pretty BS that you have to have an internet connection to download games now a days.
